Inspection of Boilers and Heat Distribution Lines
We carry out inspections of operated boilers and the respective heat distribution systems in accordance with Article 6a of Act No. 406/2000 Coll., as amended (Act on Energy Management) and Decree No. 194/2013 Coll. (inspection of boilers and heat distribution lines). Inspections of boilers and heat distribution lines that are not operated pursuant to thermal energy production and distribution licences may only be carried out by an energy expert authorised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

 

Which boilers and heat distribution lines are subject to inspections?

 

The inspection is mandatory for boilers and the respective heat energy lines with a nominal output higher than 20 kW unless they are situated in family houses, apartments and family recreational buildings with the exception of cases where they are used exclusively for business activity.

 

What does the inspection of boilers and heat distribution lines consist of?
  • assessment of documentation and documents relating to the boiler and heat distribution lines
  • a visual inspection and a check of operational functionality of the boiler and heat distribution lines
  • assessment of the maintenance condition of the boiler and heat distribution lines
  • assessment of the capacity of the boiler given the heating requirements and requirements regarding hot water preparation
  • assessment of boiler and heat distribution line efficiency
  • recommendations as to improving, in an economically viable manner, the current condition of the boiler and heat distribution lines
Who is obliged to arrange for the inspection?

 

According to Article 6a, paragraph 1 of Act No. 406/2000 Coll., as amended, it is the owner or the association of owners of residential units who is obliged to ensure that the inspection be performed.
