Backup electrical power sources can be used both in businesses and in households. Selection of the right type of power station depends on several factors. The main factors are the total input of all appliances that you want to use simultaneously and their characteristics. There is a difference between appliances having a resistance character (such as light bulbs or coffee makers) and inductive or capacitive appliances (inductive appliances are, e.g., motors, capacitive appliances are, e.g., discharge tubes, fluorescent lamps). If the power station is not adequately dimensioned, it may occur that it will shut down all the time due to overloading or when inductive or capacitive appliances are turned on. On the other hand, if it is too over-dimensioned, this will mean increased financial costs for you.
